Who makes MERET EMS bags?
MERET USA LLC makes MERET bags. Founder Scott Decker started the company after seeing how poor gear can hurt a lifesaving call. MERET's Pro Series covers EMS, fire, tactical and critical care bags, and its Off-Duty Series covers everyday backpacks and bags.

Do MERET bags come with medical supplies?
No. MERET bags ship empty, and the modules, oxygen cylinders and supplies in MERET's photos are sold separately. That lets you set up the bag to match your protocols.

What is MERET Infection Control Material and how do I clean my bag?
PRO X bags use non-absorbing Infection Control Material that allows quick decontamination of bloodborne pathogens. MERET says to wash by hand in cold water with detergent, spot-clean with an antimicrobial spray or wipe, and use a soft nylon brush if needed. Never machine wash, machine dry or use chlorine bleach; MERET says machine washing damages the bag and voids the warranty.

What is the difference between the MERET OMNI, RECOVER and RAPID PRO X?
The OMNI PRO X combines a two-bag ALS/BLS setup in one and carries as a backpack or briefcase. The RECOVER PRO X is the oxygen and airway backpack, holding up to a Jumbo D or MD cylinder and taller all-in-one regulator systems. The RAPID PRO X is a smaller first-in backpack based on the OMNI.

Which MERET bag is best for active shooter or mass casualty response?
MERET built the TRS PRO X sling for mass casualty response. It spins to the front and opens to four removable trauma supply panels for bleeding control kits. The SAVIOR7 PRO is a low-profile combat trauma backpack for confined spaces.

Do MERET bags contain PFAS?
MERET states that none of its bags contain PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances). That matters for the TURNOUT PRO X, which MERET designed as a turnout gear bag that isolates contaminated gear and wipes clean.

What is the MERET warranty?
MERET warrants its bags to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. Normal wear and tear, abuse and neglect are not covered.
