Work Boots
Soft Toe Work Boots
Soft toe work boots have no steel, composite or alloy cap in the toe, so they are lighter and bend more easily than safety toe boots. They suit work where protective toe footwear is not required: facilities and maintenance crews, drivers, station duty, farm and ranch work and everyday wear. Here you will find moc toe and round toe lace-up boots, wedge sole boots, Wellington pull-on boots, elastic-sided slip-on boots and an occupational rain boot.

How to choose
- Check your job rules: If your employer requires protective toe footwear (ASTM F2413), choose a safety toe boot instead.
- Height: 6 inch boots are lighter and quicker to break in. 8 inch boots and 11 inch Wellingtons give more ankle support and keep out mud and brush.
- Sole: Wedge soles are flat and comfortable on concrete and shop floors. Lug soles grip better on dirt, gravel and slopes.
- Weather: If you work outside in wet conditions, look for waterproof in the product name.

Work Boots FAQ
What does soft toe mean?
A soft toe boot has no safety cap in the toe. It is lighter and more flexible, but it does not give impact or compression protection.
Can I wear soft toe boots on a job site?
Only where protective toe footwear is not required. If your workplace requires it, choose a boot from Safety Toe Work Boots & Shoes.
How should a work boot fit?
Try boots on with the socks you work in, late in the day when your feet are largest. Your heel should not lift much as you walk, and your toes should have room to move.
