Hose Handling Built in Ohio

R&B builds its hose packs and straps for the way engine crews stretch line. Milwaukee Strap packs are 22 oz. reinforced vinyl with brass drain grommets, so wet hose goes right back in. HS straps bundle 100 to 200 feet of 1¾" attack line with quick-release closures, molded grips and 3M reflective trim. The Houston High Rise bag carries your standpipe tools on R&B's Tuff Bottom.

  • Who makes R&B Fabrications bags?

    R&B Fabrications is a family company in Oakwood, Ohio. It began as a part-time canvas repair business in a one-car garage, founded by Ron Eakins, and his son Dan Eakins is now president. R&B has made its products in the USA since 1971 and builds bags, straps and rescue gear for fire, EMS and law enforcement.

    Yes, for nearly all of them. R&B says almost every product it sells is made in its own shop in Oakwood, Ohio, from USA-sourced materials. Most of our R&B listings say "Made in the USA" in the product details.

  • What is the difference between the R&B Pacific Coast trauma bags?

    Size and oxygen. The Intermediate I (A500X) is 18" long and the Intermediate II (A300X) is 22" long; both have a padded liner with adjustable dividers and four outside pockets. The Mega Medic's bag (A600X) is 27" long and holds a D or Jumbo D oxygen cylinder, with the regulator reached through the end pocket.

  • Which R&B turnout gear bag should I buy?

    The 200MC is R&B's original turnout gear bag, at 4,200 cubic inches. The 198FF-XL Econo bag is bigger at 5,200 cubic inches, and the XXX bags hold 7,200 cubic inches with room for extra equipment. The 194MC opens wide across the top so you can load a full set of gear in one move.

  • How much hose do R&B hose packs and straps hold?

    R&B rates the HS-100, HS-150 and HS-200 straps for 100, 150 and 200 feet of 1¾" double-jacketed hose. The Milwaukee Strap Hose Pack holds up to 150 feet of 1½" or 1¾" hose, the HP36 up to 100 feet, and the Cleveland Grip 100 feet of 1¾" with the nozzle attached. The 423RD High-Rise Pack carries up to 150 feet of 2" hose.

  • Are R&B Fabrications bags NFPA certified?

    No. R&B bags carry, organize and protect equipment; they are not protective clothing and R&B lists no NFPA certification for them. The Cordura turnout gear bags are made for carrying gear. Bag contaminated turnouts separately and follow your department's cleaning procedure before they go back in.
