Questions about the S579 pocket T-shirt
Is the Portwest S579 ANSI compliant?
No. It is a non-ANSI Day-Vis shirt with no ANSI/ISEA 107 rating. For roadway and work zone use, choose an ANSI Class 2 or Class 3 garment.
Does the S579 protect from the sun?
Yes. The fabric is UPF 40+ rated and blocks 98% of UV rays, and the long sleeves cover your arms.
Does the S579 wick sweat?
Yes. The polyester fabric with a Texpel wicking finish draws moisture away and dries quickly.
What sizes and colors does the S579 come in?
Yellow and Orange in sizes S through 5XL. A short sleeve version is the S578.
Is the S579 T-shirt flame resistant?
No. The S579 is not flame resistant (FR) and should not be worn where FR clothing is required. Polyester can melt when exposed to flame or high heat, and it is not firefighting gear.
