Wipe dirt with a slightly damp white cloth and neutral soap. For caked-on dirt such as earth, use a soft synthetic bristle brush, not a metal one. Avoid chemical products, glues such as Loctite, and abrasive sponges or brushes. Metal parts can be cleaned with a drop of gun oil on a soft cloth.

No. It is duty gear made of rubber-coated injection-molded polymer. It is not flame resistant (FR), is not NFPA certified and is not PPE or turnout gear. Do not rely on it for fire protection.
