How is the Tactical Soft Shell different from the Evoke and Raider soft shells?
This one is a 1/2-zip pullover with reinforced mic clips, pen pockets, raglan sleeves and a carabiner clip, lined with microfleece. The 7750 Evoke is a plainer full-zip jacket with a zip-through collar and chin guard, also microfleece lined. The 7850 Raider is a full-zip with a waterproof shell, mesh lining, removable ID panels and duty belt access ports.
Is the Tactical Soft Shell Jacket waterproof?
It is wind- and water-resistant, which handles wind and light rain. It is not described as waterproof.
How does it fit?
It pulls on with a 1/2 zip front. Raglan sleeves give full range of motion, and the hook-and-loop cuffs and bungee drawstring hem let you adjust the fit. Sizes run S through 5XL.
Is the Tactical Soft Shell Jacket flame resistant?
No. It is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel, is not NFPA certified, and is not PPE or turnout gear. Wear it for station duty, cold-weather work and off-duty use, never for fire suppression.
