Fire Hooks Unlimited says it is the original developer of the New York Roof Hook, built with an aircraft steel shaft, a chisel end for prying scuttles and roof doors, and Celtex grips. Most of its other hooks use a solid fiberglass pole with stainless steel wear sleeves welded to the head, and the All Purpose Hook is made to the FDNY's standard hook spec.
