Thorogood has made job-fitted footwear since 1892, when Albert Weinbrenner took over his father's cobbler shop in Milwaukee. Today the employee-owned Weinbrenner Shoe Co. finishes its American Heritage, 1957 Series, Logger, American Legacy, Hammerhead and Western Work boots in its union factories in Wisconsin, labeled "Made in USA with USA and globally sourced components." In Thorogood style numbers, 804 is a men's safety toe and 814 is the same boot with a soft toe.
