The Firehouse Classics

Department orders usually start with two GAME pieces: a heavyweight job shirt and the Bravest quilt jacket. Most GAME job shirts have a 9" right chest radio pocket, and the 810 denim job shirt has been in the line since 1983. GAME lists embroidery and tackle twill for the Bravest, and the 1950 Denim Chore Coat has an In-Zip lining for decorating.

How we make it easy

  • Back length runs from 25.5" (SM) to 29" (5XL). GAME's measurements include the rib knit; allow up to 1/2" for seams.
  • The Bravest also comes in tall sizes L to 3XL. The size menu on each listing shows exactly what we carry.
  • Each GAME style is cut differently. Classic job shirts have a generous cut that allows for shrinkage, while the 8090 Next-Gen is a modern slim fit.

  • Are Game Sportswear job shirts and jackets NFPA certified or flame resistant?

    No. GAME does not list its job shirts, quilted jackets or duty jackets as flame resistant or NFPA certified. They are station, duty and cold-weather wear, and they do not replace turnout gear on the fireground.

    GAME's hi-vis jackets are rated to ANSI/ISEA 107 for visibility, which is a different standard from NFPA.

  • Which Game Sportswear jackets are ANSI hi-vis?

    GAME rates most of its hi-vis bombers, parkas and rain jackets to ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 Type R Class 3, including the 1370, 1385, 1320E, 1340 and 1655E. The 3555 Rescue Jacket shell is Class 2, and the 1350 and 1355 6-in-1 jackets pair a Class 3 shell with a Class 2 inner jacket. The 1390 bomber and the 9450 Commander have reflective trim but no ANSI rating.

  • How does Game Sportswear sizing run?

    Classic GAME job shirts have a generous cut that allows for shrinkage after washing, while the 8090 Next-Gen is a modern slim fit. The Bravest 1221-J runs S to 5XL with tall sizes L to 3XL. GAME publishes garment measurements, and we show the Bravest chart on this page.

  • Can Game Sportswear jackets be embroidered?

    Yes. GAME lists embroidery and tackle twill as decoration options for the Bravest 1221-J. The 9450 Commander has an embroidery access zipper, the 1950 Denim Chore Coat has an In-Zip lining for decorating, and the 7850 Raider has removable ID panels front and back.

  • What is the difference between Game job shirt styles?

    They are all 12 oz cotton/polyester fleece with a right chest radio pocket; the collar and fit set them apart. The 810 and 8020-D have denim collars and elbows, the 811 and 8075 have self-material lay-down collars, the 870-T and 8025-T are turtlenecks, and the 8090 Next-Gen is a slim fit with a resizable radio pocket.
