Council Tool Fire & Forestry Tools
Council Tool has forged striking tools since 1886 and is still family-owned, run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Council family in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. In the 1930s the US Forest Service asked Council to build tools for fighting forest fires. The result was the Council Rake, and Council's wildland firefighting tools are still made to Forest Service specifications.
Council also makes forcible entry tools and fire axes for structural crews: the TD30 and TD24 Halligans, the FE6 and FE8 axes, the LXT-24 and the NY-style roof hook. Compare them all on the Council Tools brand page.
