A light, stretchy rain layer that is ready for the call. The First Tactical Storm Surge™ Rain Jacket (Style 118563) is a lightweight shell for light rain and splashes. A water-repellent, PFAS-compliant DWR finish, 4-way mechanical stretch and a detachable hood make it an easy jacket to keep in the cruiser or apparatus. Mic loops, a document pocket and a quick-access side zip keep it working on duty.

Is the Storm Surge waterproof?
First Tactical describes it as water repellent and water resistant, made for light rain and splashes. For long hours in a downpour, the fully seam-sealed Monsoon Parka or a Tactix shell is the waterproof choice.
Does the Storm Surge have a zip-in liner?
No. It is a standalone, lightweight rain jacket. First Tactical does not list a zip-in liner for it, so layer a fleece or softshell underneath when it is cold.
Is the Storm Surge flame resistant?
No. The Storm Surge Rain Jacket is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel and is not PPE or turnout gear.
