How does the hook and loop tip belt close?
There is no buckle. About 6 inches of hook and loop material at the belt ends fastens together, so you can set the fit quickly and adjust it during the day.
What is it made of?
High-Gloss, Dutyman's synthetic leather. It has the look of polished leather and is easy to clean and maintain.

Plain is smooth, classic leather. Basketweave adds an embossed woven pattern. High-Gloss has a shiny, polished look for dress and formal wear. Most people match the finish of the rest of their belt gear; Dutyman offers its keepers, key holders and baton straps in the same three finishes.
Is the Dutyman hook and loop garrison belt flame resistant?
No. It is a synthetic leather uniform belt, not flame-resistant (FR) gear. It is not NFPA certified and is not PPE or turnout gear.
