Questions about the Defender Short Sleeve Shirt
Who is the Defender Shirt designed for?
SWAT teams, tactical operators and patrol officers who need a hard-working warm-weather shirt that still looks professional, not overly aggressive. It also suits EMS and rescue crews who want sleeve pocket storage.
How does the Defender compare to the V2 Responder Shirt?
Both are quarter zip shirts with a jersey body and zip sleeve pockets. The Defender uses heavier 6.9 oz cotton/Cordura® Nylon double ripstop on the sleeves and collar. The V2 Responder uses lighter 4.1 oz V2 poly/cotton with a DWR water repellent finish. Compare all First Tactical shirts and polos.
Can I put patches or embroidery on the sleeves?
Yes. The oversized sleeve pockets accept patches or embroidery and have a loop overlay for hook-backed ID patches. Contact us about adding your agency's patch or name.
Is the Defender Shirt flame resistant?
No. First Tactical makes no flame-resistance or NFPA claim for this tactical shirt. It is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel and is not PPE or turnout gear, so wear it on duty and around the station, not for firefighting.
